As per the provisions of Article 51A we should preserve our Natural Heritage. How?

Article 51A of the Constitution of India, also known as the Fundamental Duty of every citizen, states that it shall be the duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, and wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures.

There are a number of ways in which individuals can contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage:

  1. Reduce, reuse, and recycle: Reduce the amount of waste you generate, reuse items whenever possible, and recycle as much as you can. This helps to conserve natural resources and reduce the strain on the environment.

  2. Plant and care for trees: Planting and caring for trees can help to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, improve air quality, and provide habitat for wildlife.

  3. Conserve water: Use water efficiently and reduce your water footprint. Fix any leaks, use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks, and consider installing a low-flow toilet or showerhead.

  4. Support conservation efforts: Support organizations that work to protect and preserve natural areas, such as national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and nature reserves.

  5. Use environmentally-friendly products: Choose products that are made from sustainable materials and produced in an environmentally-friendly manner. This can help to reduce the negative impact on the environment.

  6. Educate others: Spread the word about the importance of preserving our natural heritage and encourage others to do their part
